A visit to an iconic lighthouse on the coast of Portland, Maine
Maine is known for its beautiful coastline, and lighthouses are always a prominent attraction for visitors near and far—including me. Pictured here is Spring Point Ledge Light, located near Portland Harbor in the southern part of the state. The lighthouse was built in 1897 to alert ships of the protruding rock formation as it sits along the shore near a popular nautical route.
Stay tuned for next week's photo.
