Photo of the Week | Cruising Through the Caribbean
Photo of the Week
Taking in the sights of crystal-clear Caribbean waters near Tortola
I recently embarked on a cruise that made stops in St. Thomas, Nassau (the capital of Bahamas) and Tortola, the largest of the British Virgin Islands. That is where this picture was taken as we approached this beautiful seaside town. Tradition has it that Christopher Columbus named the island Tórtola, which translates to “turtle dove” in Spanish. Historians might tell you otherwise, though, in that he named it Santa Ana. Regardless of the name, the serenity of this resort is undeniable.

Stay tuned for next week's photo.
