The Outer Banks in North Carolina has no shortage of famous sites and landmarks. Cape Hatteras Light is one of them, and I had to stop and take a picture when I stumbled upon it on a recent trip down south. The 210-foot structure was built in the early 19th century and stands as the tallest brick lighthouse in the United States.
